The rattle sound is soft enough that it doesn't startle my son, but he still turns his head every time it shakes. He's been gnawing on the teether wings for a week now and they're holding up well.

The little owl shape is easy for my 6-month-old to grab, and she gnaws on the teether part for ages while the rattle keeps her distracted. The sound is soft enough that it doesn't startle her, which I appreciated more than I expected.

My 4-month-old is at that stage where everything goes straight to her mouth, and the little owl shape is easy for her to grip on her own. The rattle sound is soft enough that it doesn't startle her, and the teething part has really helped with her fussy afternoons.
