The rattle sound is just loud enough to get my daughter's attention without being annoying, and she shakes it constantly. The teether part has really helped her sore gums this week, she gnaws on it way more than her other toys.

My 5-month-old grabs this thing before anything else in the toy bin, and the teether part is the perfect size for her little mouth. The beads make a soft clacking sound when she shakes it, which keeps her busy way longer than I expected.

The rattle sound is soft enough that it doesn't startle my daughter, but it still gets her to turn her head every time. She's been chewing on the teether part nonstop since her first tooth started coming in, and it seems to actually help.
