My 5-month-old gnaws on the ears nonstop and the teether part actually seems to hit the right spot on her gums. It's light enough that she can hold it herself without dropping it every five seconds.

The rattle sound is soft enough that it doesn't startle my son, but he still turns his head every time. He gnaws on the teether part for ages, which has been a lifesaver during this fussy week.

My daughter is teething and this has been the one thing she'll actually chew on, the textured ears seem to hit exactly where her gums hurt. The rattle part is a bonus since she's just figuring out how to hold things, and it keeps her busy in the stroller.
